Legal / Cookies and storage
Consent and
Cookies, browser storage and the distinction between a local draft and information sent to a service.
Effective: 1 January 2026
What browser storage means
Cookies are small values stored by a browser and potentially returned with later requests. LocalStorage keeps values on a device for a website to read. Session storage and ordinary browser memory are different again. Consent requirements depend on purpose, not simply on the technology's name.
Storage used by the page features
The site's navigation, technical tabs and scroll reveals operate in page memory. The supplied page script does not create cookies, write localStorage or use sessionStorage. There are no analytics libraries, advertising pixels or embedded social-media widgets in these pages.
| Feature | Storage or access | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Menu and tabs | Page memory only | Current page session |
| Briefing draft | Form fields and page memory | Until page disposal; browser restoration may vary |
| Copy briefing | Device clipboard, on request | Controlled by device and user |
| Download briefing | User-requested local text file | Until the user deletes it |
Consent controls
If a site-wide consent control is presented, use it to accept or decline the optional purposes it identifies. A saved consent choice is separate from the briefing draft. Declining optional storage should not prevent reading the technical pages or using the basic local composer.
Optional tracking must not run merely because you continue browsing. Any additional service that uses non-essential storage should identify its purpose, provider and retention period before asking for consent. This register should be updated when such services are introduced.
Your browser and device
You can inspect or remove site data through your browser's privacy settings. Blocking storage may prevent a separate preference control from remembering a choice. Browser caching, saved form entries, clipboard history and downloaded files are controlled through your browser or operating system and are not cleared by this website.
When following an external source link, the destination's own storage and privacy practices apply. Local photographs and scripts do not require an external image or script provider to receive a page-view request.
